We Blew The Roof Off!

We started the demo work today and I was reminded of several important items.
One- I am not as young as I used to be.
Two- Ron Is A Godsend.
Three- A hot shower and Advil Does Wonders.

Today we started the process of removing what at one time was a garage and 20 years ago give or take a decade, it was turned into living space. For many reasons it made sense to rip this portion down. When it is rebuilt, it will have two floors and because we can no longer keep our utilities in the basement or below the 500 year flood elevation, the first floor will be a utility room and laundry room. The upper level we be the Kids great room or play room.

Ron came over to give me a hand and I am so grateful for the help he gave me today. We have been friends for 30 something years and we no longer seem to just hang out. We don't get together for dinner, we don't golf or fish together, we don't go to bars or hiking like we used to do.
When we get together it is usually to "WORK" on a project at each others house. This is how we socialize.

We spent a grueling day working on removing the roof, and I am surprised we didn't fall off the roof, or fall through the ceiling. I can't say we didn't get hurt because my body hurts, and part of this could be when I was sitting in a chair for lunch, the chair somehow slid off the deck with me in it. I survived, the chair didn't, and I think I was pushed.

When Ron got home from helping you take "THE ROOF DOWN" his whole body was "HURTING". How you planned on doing this yourself is a mystery, well not really, we all know how you don't like to ask for help.

You are always doing for others and now its our turn to do for you. Please take any help you can get..

"Ron's Story" So there we were on the roof taking it down, no one fell off. (LAUGHING) Then we go to sit in a chair when we're done, Steve's chair is to close to the end of your deck and he tip's over an falls to the ground.

I think your in more danger of hurting yourself just sitting in a chair.
